Partial Hospitalization, sometimes called "PHP" or Day Treatment, is a form of alcohol and drug treatment program which is meant to handle drug and alcohol addiction issues and mental health problems which may possibly be co-occurring. In a PHP facility, the individual in rehab takes part in a variety of rehab services and approaches in the daytime and then returns home in the evening. This is carried out anywhere from five to seven days per week, all dependent on the severity of the problem. Partial Hospitalization can be most effective for drug addicted persons in Huntsville who are unable to cover the costs of long-term inpatient care, or who are unable to be apart from their home for extended periods of time. While in Day Treatment, treatment clients take part in standard treatment services for addiction issues while at the same time addressing psychological problems which could keep them from staying abstinent once rehabilitation is done.
