Gays and Lesbians may at time have specific rehab needs when receiving substance abuse treatment. An individualized plan and drug rehab atmosphere which is conducive to the needs of gays and lesbians is available in many alcohol and drug rehab centers throughout the Mission area which acknowledge the diverse needs and problems which gays and lesbians in Mission will have to deal with during recovery. LGBT in Mission can be fully rehabilitated just as any other person in rehab, although it is helpful for gays and lesbians to be in a supportive environment while in drug rehab which doesn't judge them or estrange them because of their sexual preference.
